A Bit O Poetry from Kate
Remember this? I thought you wouldn't mind if I posted it, since we're the only ones who view this blog anyway...I miss your poems!
I want to see the stars again instead of a pinkish glow,
I want to smell the fields of hay and watch the seed corn grow,
I want to live amidst the simple folk and wear coveralls and boots and spit,
But I just can't give up my life in the city, not one part nor all of it.
I'll keep driving my car and using gasoline until all supplies run dry,
I'll take a shower a day and microwave away until my skins dries up, hair
falls out and I die.
The simple life is a way for many and is so very alluring,
But I'll stay where the people are abundant and the sound of traffic is
ever purring.
The simple life is a way for many and is so very alluring,
But I'll stay where the people are abundant and the sound of traffic is
ever purring.

this poem sucks! i'll have to come up with a better one to redeem myself! give me a few days!
I knew you would say that. It's not that bad--at least not bad for on the spot poetry. We used to email so much when I was in Madison--I'm going to try and be better at it this year.
