Now This is Christmas...

Aren't we enlarged
by the scale of what we're able
to desire? Everything,
the choir insists,

might flame;
inside these wrappings
burns another, brighter life,
quickened, now,

by song: hear how
it cascades, in overlapping,
lapidary waves of praise? Still time.
Still time to change.

i was bad and opened all my presents i was supposed to save until christmas day...oops.

my plans for the 25th are either to bake(in more than one way..he he)and eat all day with allie, make apps, drink wine and watch movies with lendra, or...maybe...quite possibly, head to vancouver. it's all still up in the air.

my best christmas gifts this year were 1) a visit from one of my bestest friends 2) another friend planning to visit in january and 3) my mom coming for a visit in feb.

happy holidays! and as jeff hauck so eloquently put it..."may the spirit of the season teabag your heart."

Aw man...my tree is dead-ok, totally dead. I came home to find half of the ornaments on the ground. I'm unpacked and it's time for a beer I think.
